Mmmm… I love Sriracha on my mac & cheese! Almost as much as I love my 1,000+ Facebook fans! Thanks everyone for the support! I’m happy to announce that in a week, I’m traveling to L.A. to visit several culinary experts, and the highlight will be touring Huy Fong Foods, where the popular brand of Sriracha is produced!
Here’s how to alter reality—mess with perspective—by changing up your focal length!
Thanks for all the views on last week’s Indy Mogul videos! Here’s a follow-up to both the parody trailer, and hyperlapsing tutorial!

Production began yesterday on my Sriracha documentary!
Yesterday, I interviewed Tyler Raineri, a junior at Illinois State University, whose love of Sriracha could win him $1,000,000 in Lay’s Do Us A Flavor competition!
He suggested Sriracha-flavored chips, which Lay’s produced alongside “Cheesy Garlic Bread” and “Chicken & Waffles.” The winner of the public vote will remain on shelves through 2013.
To save Sriracha, and earn Tyler $1,000,000—c’mon, look at that smile!—you can vote four ways daily (through May 4).

SRIRACHA CULINARY TIP: Like many of us, Tyler enjoys Sriracha on frozen pizza. But he applies it BEFORE baking, transforming the flavor of those fresh red peppers!
With a tripod, some chalk, and time, you too can hyperlapse!
Today’s episode covers some cool things I did this week: met “Bully” director Lee Hirsch, enjoyed the New Art Film Festival, and pre-ordered a fun new camera!
You asked how I built my camera backpack into an over-the-shoulder GoPro rig, so here it is!
Plus, the new FreeFly MoVI camera stabilizer, how Stereo D turned Jurassic Park 3D, and Blackmagic’s two new Cinema Cameras at NAB!
Inspired by a $700 product, I build a $4 DIY camera rig for no-handed shooting!
Think movie ratings are messed up? At least you didn’t have to make movies under the Hay’s Code (1934–1968)—no harsh language like “damn,” kissing in bed, or ridicule of the clergy.
I can finally sleep, after a long, but awesome week at the #SXSW Film Fest. Here’s a recap, including my favorite films!
