Word: “Dude.” Function: Interjection. Definition: “Please listen carefully, because whatever follows this word is of the utmost importance.”
Finished data collection for my thesis - supports at least 1 hypothesis: Students use search engines for media more than academic research.
CNN: “Troubled automakers GM and Chrysler have announced new moves to TRY AND avoid bankruptcy.” Is that even grammatically correct? TRY TO?
Worst Company in America quarterfinals: Comcast vs. GM. At least Comcast cares (@comcastcares). Vote for General Motors! http://tr.im/jSgj
And not only vote, but Google “general motors accountability.” Check out the #2 result, right under GM’s corporate page. SEO!

Good thing my phone limits e-mail subjects to 40 characters. So, pretty sweet photo caption below. At least the photo worked.
After we move to our new place we’re finally getting a cat. Which 1 would you pick from the Humane Society? http://hscipets.org/adoptcat.htm
WEIRD. Twitter is broken and sending private messages to the wrong people! I got several, including a sexual 1, clearly not intended for me.
Got a new phone. My new number is (678) 999-8212. Why do all these people I don’t know keep calling?!?!?
Outlook 2008 does not appear to improve upon the search capability of its predecessor. I bet I can tweet this before it finds my e-mail!
I suppose as an #earthday protest to get us off our power-sucking computers, Twitter became self-aware & broke image uploading.
Anyone have a non-profit or cause and need a sweet video produced? Animoto is offering free pro accounts: http://animoto.com/cause
Why is there a data vampire sucking at my hard drive? I had 7GBs available a couple weeks ago. Now I have 262MB.
Be careful who you follow. Started following one of the big Twitterers, and had at least 8 spam followers within 3 hours. (Report to @spam.)
Got 19 research participants through my study Saturday, and spent today coding the data. Let’s hope for >100 by the end of the week!
Twitter Search test: griffin hammond
I imagine commas follow, like here (in my example), or precede curvy, (often) disruptive parentheses, based on what the parentheses modify.
Periods go outside (when this stuff doesn’t stand alone). (In an isolated sentence, the period is inside.) Does that help (@lawrencerdavis)?
The Wrestler is playing at the Normal Theater. A big guy in front is wearing a bandana and a sweet wrestling fan shirt. Hope he enjoys it!
It’s unfortunate that Flickr, designed for photographers, is a much less intuitive photo-sharing site than Facebook. It makes no sense!
Just noticed my last 2 tweets are good examples of how exclamation marks can go outside quotation marks, but periods ALWAYS go inside.
Vote for GM as the “Worst Company in America”! Consumers be damned!http://consumerist.com/5214662/worst-company-in-america-gm-vs-chase
Having worked in retail, whenever I see DM on Twitter, I read it first as “district manager.”
Happy #teaparty day! I agree, tea tax is way too high. I don’t know about them, but my income tax has gone DOWN since Obama took office.
Lacking Firefox, using IE7. Like being able to use ANY search engine in the built-in search bar, but hate not seeing which one I’m using.
Oh, maybe it was Ignatius, not Ignacio. Still wish I could find a photo.
No Google results for “Thaddeus Gerald Ignacio Friday.” Too bad. Anyone know what I’m talking about? Remember who brought it to life?
Hey, let’s plan a trip to Cuba! And can we invite Obama, for making this all possible? Cue the Red Scare mongers!
RT @jimmy_wales: “This is great fun: http://www.tweenbots.com/”
Probably won’t last, so let me brag. Atlanta Braves are 5-1. Best record in baseball! Let’s call it: Braves World Champions ‘09!!
Glad Navy Seals saved the US captain from pirates, but sad they had to die. Can’t say I wouldn’t be a pirate too if I lived in Eyl, Somalia.
Let us celebrate the return of Ostara, Germanic goddess of Spring. Perhaps she will transform her bird into a rabbit, to amuse us! #easter
Pretty simple story in the @Pantagraph about a film we’re working on, but already a handful of crazy people comments: http://tr.im/iyWZ
Awesome that D.C. voted to recognize other states’ gay marriages! Again, historic week for human rights!
Currently giving a presentation about Twitter.
Great week for human rights! I’m proud of Iowa and Vermont for legalizing gay marriage. How ‘bout it Illinois?
Voted. Hey ISU students! Vote today in the Normal town election!
My mailbox is over its size limit, so the System Administrator sent 5 e-mails to tell me. Because those don’t increase data size, do they?
Remember, residents of Bloomington and Normal, to vote tomorrow in the city elections! Your vote has a much bigger impact locally!
Nice job Millennium Hotel. No free wifi. No parking garage validation. Itty bitty room for our panel. Really worth the day trip to St Louis!
Sun’s not up and gas stations are closed. It’s too early to be driving to St. Louis.
Vote for State Farm’s commercial in the final round of Adweek’s “March ADness” tourney! http://adness.adweek.com
“Worst Company In America” bracket: General Motors is up against United Airlines. Vote for GM, where customers come last! http://tr.im/iazm
2 naps in 1 day, Internet Explorer! You must be tired! Poor guy. Your inefficiency must really wear you down. That & losing share everyday.
I love how Internet Explorer gets tired and takes a nap sometimes. Then I have to close all 10 windows (cause it’s IE6) and start over.
RT @BloNo: “DON’T FORGET: #BloNoTweetup tonight 6 pm at Maggie Miley’s in Normal. Twitter supastars and local media abound. BE THERE.”
Like Shaq, I want to give away stuff. Any of my students on Twitter? (presumably to improve their writing) Xtra credit for the 1st to reply!
First DVDs. Now an iPod. Does Obama purchase all gifts for his special British friends from Best Buy?
